WEBXESS LAUNCHES
AFFORDABLE REGISTRATION SERVICE

recently launched SiteReserve.com, a domain name registration service that allows
consumers to acquire a domain name for $35. The $35 fee covers the two-year ownership of a
domain name and the option to reserve the name on WebXess nameservers. As an incentive,
WebXess offers to apply the $35 fee as a credit toward a hosting package setup.
SiteReserve.com’s new rate is comparably lower than that of many
other agencies, which charge $70 to register a domain name for two years. Internet
executives expect that the lower price will increase the rate of registering parties.
"I believe the low cost is a great benefit to Internet consumers,
as well as the registering parties. Consumers might now be able to remember the name of
their favorite site, which before had a very long set of characters. The site owners who
hesitated at the thought of a $70 fee, now have an opportunity to become more visible for
less cost," says Jacqueline Sinex, Project Coordinator for WebXess, Inc.
"As the quantity of personal web sites and online businesses
increases, it becomes more important to spot a [domain] name that people will

Leading Hosting Company Partners with Mercantec SoftCart to Provide Easy
Route to Online Sales
Austin, TX, March 7, 1999 – WebXess, Inc. recently formed a contract with
Mercantec, Inc. in an effort to create an easy and affordable way for businesses to join
the online market. WebXess will utilize Mercantec’s SoftCart Web store
software as part of its new E-commerce solutions, which will offer individuals the
opportunity to sell products or services on the Internet.
SoftCart allows a merchant to create a new money-generating site from scratch or
to adapt an existing site to perform transactions. The software also calculates sales tax
and shipping charges for the merchant’s customers, and select plans allow the
merchant to create categories and attributes for each product.
Jacqueline Sinex, Operations Coordinator for WebXess, says she believes many
individuals avoid creating an online store because they assume it is over their budget and
requires skilled programmers. "On the contrary, our E-commerce packages are formatted
to be easy for even the least experienced individuals, and the prices are beyond
affordable."
WebXess hopes that the ease of Mercantec’s step-by-step store building wizard
combined with the reliability of their Web hosting will draw more entrepreneurs to the
